LIVERPOOL, England (AP) -Luis Suarez scored twice and helped set up another goal Saturday as Liverpool beat Wigan 3-0 for just its second home win of the Premier League season.
The Uruguay striker struck twice in nine second-half minutes and also played a part in the third which saw Jose Enrique score his first goal for the club.
Suarez scored for the fifth straight match and now has 10 goals in as many appearances.
After a quiet first half, Suarez broke the deadlock in the 48th minute, meeting Raheem Sterling's cross with a first-time shot that took a slight deflection off Ivan Ramis.
He then doubled the lead after taking a throughball from Enrique, who in turn netted the third in the 66th after Suarez set up Sterling for a shot that was parried into his path.
